Privacy Policy

Overview

Slimsend compresses video entirely on your iPhone. There is no account, no upload, and no server — not as a setting you can turn on, but because the app makes no network requests at all. We collect nothing about you, because there is no mechanism by which we could.

Data We Collect

None. Slimsend collects no personal information, no usage data, no crash reports and no analytics.

  • No account or sign-in
  • No analytics or tracking SDKs
  • No crash reporting service
  • No advertising identifiers, and no ad SDK of any kind

Your Video Never Leaves Your iPhone

Compression runs on your device using Apple's own AVFoundation. Your video is read, re-encoded and written back on the phone. It is never uploaded, never queued for processing, and never seen by us or anyone else. Slimsend works in Airplane Mode, because it has nothing to connect to.

Your Original Is Never Modified

Slimsend writes the compressed video as a new file. Your original is never changed, moved or deleted. When you save, the compressed copy is added to your photo library in its own Slimsend album, with the original recording date and location carried across so the copy sits correctly in your timeline.

Photo Library Access

Slimsend asks for permission to add to your photo library, and uses it only to save the compressed copy you asked for. It does not read, browse, index or upload your library. If you decline, everything except saving to Photos still works — you can share the compressed file directly instead.

No Ads

There are no ads in Slimsend. Not before compressing, not after, not anywhere. This is structural rather than a promise: the app ships with no advertising framework, so there is nothing that could later be switched on.

Children’s Privacy

Slimsend is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Since it collects no data whatsoever, it collects no data from children either.
