Privacy Policy

Complyshot is designed with privacy as a default, not an afterthought. Capturing, checking, and cropping your passport or visa photo all happen locally on your iPhone. We do not operate any servers, collect any personal data, or run any analytics.

Complyshot uses Apple's Vision framework to measure your face (head height, eye position) and check focus, lighting, and background — all processed entirely on your iPhone, using on-device machine learning models built into iOS. Your photo is never uploaded anywhere — not to Apple, not to us, not to anyone. Nothing about your photo, your face, or the checks it ran leaves your device at any point.

The photo you capture is only saved to your device's own Photos library when you explicitly tap "Save to Photos." Complyshot does not automatically save, back up, or otherwise persist your photo anywhere outside that single, user-initiated action.

Complyshot requests camera access to capture your passport/visa photo through its guided framing screen, and photo library access so you can save the finished, compliant photo. Both are used solely to read and write files on your device at your direction. No image is uploaded or transmitted anywhere.

Complyshot does not integrate any third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics services, and contacts no external service of any kind — face measurement, compliance checks, and photo export all run using on-device Apple frameworks only.

The photo requirements Complyshot checks against (head height, background color, image size, etc.) are bundled inside the app itself, sourced from each country's own published guidance. Checking your photo against these requirements never involves sending your photo, or any information about it, to any government, agency, or third party.

Complyshot does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since we collect no information from anyone, this is satisfied by design.

If our privacy practices change, we will update this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
